Boys will be boys

International Auto Show here we come! Yesterday we took a ride into the Seaport district to meet Molly and Ed with their two little boys to go to the auto show. Seeing it through the eyes of a car obsessed 3 year old definitely made it more exciting. No... Not Rob, their little guy Charlie :-)

He loved everything about it and directed us to see all his favorite cars. #1 being the Toyota 4Runner. And a close second the Jeeps. His mom says he even sings about cars in the car as he sees them drive by. Too cute!

This was not only Matthew's first auto but also mine. If he takes after his dad and uncles something tells me this won't be the last!

Welcome to the Jungle!

The nursery is 95% complete! Only a few finishing touches - a rug and one more wall decoration and Matthew's room will be ready. But i didn't want to wait any longer to post the pictures!

I am so pleased with how it came out and a big shout out to my brother for putting the decals up for me. Love big brothers!

Matthew is still sleeping in the bassinet in our room so there was no rush to finish, but now that he is sleeping better we wanted to make the push to complete his room. Speaking of sleep, our little guy did 5 hours in a row last night! I know I shouldn't get use to it just yet but boy did it feel good!!!!

9lbs and counting!

Matthew's most recent weight check has him at 9lbs 2oz! Our boy is getting big! And quite handsome if I do say so myself :-)

Besties & Babies

What a great weekend! Sharyn drove up from New Jersey with baby Christopher (9 months old) for a visit. We had a wonderful girls day with all the kids - Ava Rose, James, Corey, Christopher, Matthew, and Nicholas. No Eric but he's almost a preteen so who could blame him! So much cuteness and love it makes my heart melt.

The other children

With all this love to Matthew, I can't forget the furkids - Bob and Rita. Rita loved Matthew from the start, but Bob ignored us both until this morning when he decided his silent treatment is over. Poor Bob is no longer the baby... It took him a whole month to adjust!

1 Month Old

Happy 1 Month Birthday to Matthew! It is hard to believe that it has already been one month since our sweet baby boy arrived. He is growing so fast. At his one month check up today he weighed in at 8lbs 14oz with a length of 22 1/2" and a head circumference of 15 1/2. Percentiles are 26, 86, and 75 respectively. We have a string bean on our hands - tall and thin. Taking after mom and dad already!

With the added weight has come added sleep for us too. He does stretches of 3 to 4 hours most nights! Let's hope he keeps it up.

Best Buds

Today Matthew met the newest member of the cannoli family Nicholas who was born Dec 24th. The boys are 18 days apart. Trouble in the making for sure!

Oh... And we didn't even plan to have them dressed alike. Too funny!
